Our History
The origin of Professional Air Riveting Tools started
with my fathers love of aviation. In 1937 Sidney Gold
in, (Dad), learned how to
fly at Roosevelt Field while attending aircraft mechanics school. He worked as a
mechanic for Pan American Airlines while at the same time rebuilding
a badly damaged second hand plane. During World War II he became an Army
Air Force Flight Instructor. After the war he became active in experimental
aircraft design and development. Tools were needed and with an instinctive
engineering insight, he created them...or found new ways to apply them.
His imaginative answers to modern aircraft production problems
flies today in
every thing from modern day aircraft, experimental aircraft, and includin
g the
Space Shuttle Project at NASA. In his later years he inspired and taught
aircraft riveting to just about any builder that would listen. He served as
a EAA riveting specialist and in between all of this he built a RV3. His
desire to design, develop or "find" just about any aircraft tool you
might need was his mark in life. As my company continues to climb, I
remember my days working with my dad and hope to continue the history. It
is with this, and with the spirit of my father, that Professional Air Riveting
Tools was born….and continues! Our goal is to provide the aircraft
owner and aircraft homebuilder the finest quality and value in NEW TOOLS found
anywhere.
